yeah i dunno, Im all for keeping it simple.
I can have 30 friends show up, just for points, but whether they contribute regularly would be a different story. I say what we have goin on right now is fine.
And for the record...I dont think people should be getting points for posting the link elsewhere, as many of us whore the forum out, and never asked for anything. Just did it for love of the forum. But thats just my personal opinion.

| I think if people are posting the link to this forum on other websites then they should be rewarded with points. They are contributing to the success of the forum.
And Caz has already said that if someone new to the forum mentions that "so and so" told them about it - then "so and so" will get points

Well the problem with Evanescence is competition....so many Ev forums on the internet, more than any other band I'd bet.
But I don't really mind if we only get the people from here anyway. The best forums I've been on have all been smaller groups

| ok, my thoughts on the referral thing... some of us have already referred everyone we know who might be interested in the forum.. so we get to lose out on this cause we're long time members of the forum? how is that fair? Thats why i say its not a good idea. What about the people who have been doing things all along? some of us have links all over the place. so do we get credit for that?
see my point? if caz starts doing that.. then shes gonna have an unholy mess on her hands.

Which is certainly deserving of points.
What everyone did before the points system came into place isn't relevant. I have been mentioning this place wherever I go on the internet for more than 6 months now, but you don't hear me complaining.

to be honest, i could give a shit how many points i have, what i am thinking is that its going to be too much BS for Caz in the end. Where do we stop? where will the line be drawn.
points and merch arent why i am here...and I think if Caz wants to have fun with this point system trying to make it a quality poster type thing, thats great...but to start tossing them out there for EVERYTHING?
In the end its up to her, but my thinking is...keep it simple. Theres already a million things to deal with here.

| I don't think giving points to someone who has gone to the effort of promoting this forum on their own website.....gone to the effort of explaining what the place is all about....when they are not even a promoter, is handing out points for everything.
Thats probably a lot more deserving than most things in my opinion but the boss will decide I'm sure 
Theres no hassle involved either - if the person can show Caz that they've done a good job promoting this forum in other places (when they are not actually a promoter) then they get points. Simple really.
I'm the same as you - couldn't care less how many points I have. My time was spent on this forum long before any points were given out.
